The move by the US to cut funding to some organisations involved in healthcare is increasing the need for African nations to mobilise their domestic resources and foster existing partnerships. Among them are six countries under the Global Financing Facility which converged in Nairobi, Kenya in April 2017 to be trained on health budget advocacy. Africa Uncensored’s Dennis Mbae spoke to the trainers and some of the countries’ representatives on how they plan to meet the funding gap.
