Stranded, hungry and hunted; Kenyan truck drivers stranded in South Sudan Tweet This

Kenya’s National carrier, Kenya Airways has resumed flights to South Sudan’s capital, Juba. The Government of Kenya says that it has also created contact channels for citizens currently stranded in South Sudan, but is it aware of the many individuals who are stuck in various parts of the city and country, far from help, running short on food and water and in mortal danger of attack? The East African Truck Driver’s League has been in contact with some of its drivers who are currently in hiding, fearful that any one of the two groups fighting in this most recent burst of violence may target them. Africa Uncensored’s Dennis Mbae and Sam Munia spoke to the League’s Chairman, Hassan Kabeberi Abdala.
